So in addition to being obsessed with fabric, I've also developed a love for 'thrifting' (apparently not a real word but I'm using it anyways and I'm sure I'm not the first).
A fun day out for me would be to hit a fabric store and a couple thrift stores and roam around for great deals and inspiration. I generally look for things I can use for sewing: fabric remnants, lace and doilies, buttons... and clothing that can be re-worked into something lovely and modern. I love vintage mostly because, like handmade, it's getting pretty close to being one (or a few) of a kind.
Here's a vintage sheet I found at a thrift store last week. It was $5 and it's huge! I am envisioning sweet summer dresses..
